Founding Nations
The Founding Nations compete in the championship. They were the original organizers of the NCC and for several years they were the only participating nations. They are listed in alphabetical order.

Member Nations
The Member Nations compete in the championship. They are represented by one contestant. They are listed in alphabetical order.

Observer Nations
The Observer Nations participate in the championship. They are represented by one contestant. However, they cannot receive any prize except for Audiences' choice. After participating in one championship event as an Observer Nation, and fulfilling all other obligations, they join the Member Nations. The NCC has the following observer nations, listed in alphabetical order.
